Using the Fingerprint Reader for the First Time

Once the fingerprint reader is installed (also applicable if your scooter comes with the fingerprint reader pre-installed) you still turn the scooter on as normal by holding the power button. Once the display is turned on you will see the status indicator on the fingerprint reader blink blue, currently the scooter is locked and the throttle will not work, to unlock the scooter touch the sensor, indicator will blink green to confirm. Any finger, gloved or not, will work as the fingerprint reader does not have any fingerprints programmed yet. If you do not unlock the scooter in 15 seconds while the indicator is blinking the scooter will have to be turned off and on again to unlock it.

Programming The First Fingerprint

The first 3 registered fingerprints will have administrative powers.

1. Turn on the scooter
2. Place first desired print on the scanner (right thumb or index finger recommended), indicator light will blink green to confirm, hold for 5 seconds then release and indicator light will rapidly blink blue
3. Place desired finger on scanner, if it is registered successfully the indicator will flash green, if it does not register correctly it will flash red. If it is red repeat until green
4. Repeat step 3 until the fingerprint has successfully been collected 5 times, at which point the indictor light will be light blue and the data is completely registered
5. Turn off the scooter and ensure that only the programmed fingerprint can unlock the scooter

Programming Additional Fingerprints

1. Turn on the scooter
2. Use an administrative print to unlock the scooter, hold for 5 seconds and release, indicator will rapidly blink blue
3. Use the same procedure as above to program any new print (#3 and #4)
4. The indicator will turn light blue to indicate that the new print has successfully been registered
5. You can continue to register more prints if you wish

Reset

To reset the fingerprint reader and remove all programmed prints, returning function to default, hold an administrative print on the scanner 10 seconds until the indicator turns solid red.
